How do detox treatments work?
Is your skin in need of a detox? Here's what to expect from the treatment.
Just like a detox for your body, detoxifying your skin can have some great benefits – think of it as a chance to treat your skin to some extra love and get it looking back to its best.
If you’ve decided that detoxifying is the way to go, you might be wondering exactly how the treatments work. From what’s involved to the benefits you can expect post-treatment, we’re breaking down everything you need to know.
Our detox treatment
A good skin detox treatment should include cleansing, purifying and rejuvenating elements to get skin back to basics and support a healthy glow.
Our signature skin conditioning treatment here at Skinsmiths just so happens to be a great one for detoxification. We start off with microdermabrasion to help cleanse and gently exfoliate the skin, using a device with a suction method and a specially shaped coarse tip for more effective results.
Next, we use a thermal laser to create controlled inflammation underneath the outer layer of skin. This stimulates the body’s natural collagen production process, which prompts the skin to repair itself – giving you stronger, smoother and more healthy-looking skin as a result.
Finally, we add a hydrating serum and a sunscreen to ensure your skin is soothed, nourished and protected.
What are the benefits of a detox treatment?
By combining microdermabrasion with thermal laser, our detox treatment helps lead to brighter, more radiant skin that is smoother and stronger.
For lasting results, we recommend having consistent treatments over time to keep skin looking and feeling happy and healthy.
At Skinsmiths, our Detox Treatment is part of our Reformaskin membership – your specially tailored Skin Health Plan that can be tailored to meet your needs with a mix of conditioning and High Intensity Treatments.
