Common questions we get asked are:

Laser hair removal can effectively treat the different types of hair found all over the body, from thicker underarm hair to finer facial hair. Popular treatment areas include:

Bikini and Hollywood

Underarms and arms

Our laser hair removal is based around your hair growth cycle. A course of laser hair removal can take up to 48 weeks to ensure that we have treated the hair follicles in each growth phase.

During the treatment, some people feel no pain at all, and some feel a slight heat sensation, and some have likened the sensation to mild stinging or the flicking of a rubber band. Generally, the coarser or thicker the hair, the greater the sensation.

Am I suitable?

Laser hair removal works by targeting the colour in the hair and its contrast to the surrounding skin. The  best results are seen in those with dark hair and light skin. At Skinsmiths we treat all the way up to level five on the skin type scale (see below). If you would like us to assess your suitability, pop in for a free consultation, we also conduct a patch test before the treatment to ensure your suitability.
